We’re pleased to announce our event’s emcee: Raja. Raja is the Chairman, Co-Founder, and CEO of CEI and the Host of The Raja Show. Raja brings a wealth of experience and energy to the event, and we’re looking forward to his involvement!

Raja’s story is truly an American story. Out of the spare bedroom of his South Hills apartment, Raja co-founded an Allegheny County technology company that’s become a leading national firm for IT solutions to businesses throughout the United States. The company now employs hundreds of dedicated employees and is celebrated as one of the region’s leading corporate citizens.

As a business leader, Raja is committed to fostering next-generation entrepreneurship. Through his efforts, he helped found the Business Mentoring Roundtable, mentoring start-up companies committed to staying, growing, and serving the Pittsburgh region. Raja also served as the founding Chair of University of Pittsburgh’s Computer Science Industry Board, focusing on properly preparing Pitt students for careers in global technology.

Raja was recognized as Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year in 2008 and as the Entrepreneur of the Year by the Carnegie Science Center in 2009. Smart Business Pacesetters Award for CEO Excellence in 2007 and the Diamond Award for the Region’s Leading CEOs and Presidents for large business in 2008 from Pittsburgh Business Times are additional public recognitions of Raja’s commitment to socially responsible corporate leadership.

A 1989 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, Raja received an MBA with honors from Carnegie Mellon University in 2003.

Raja has also served his local community throughout his successful career. In 2010, Raja served as a Commissioner in Mt. Lebanon and later as President of the Commission. Since 2008, Raja has worked to bring sound governance and conservative principles to local government. During this term, Raja has cut local taxes while maintaining excellent services.

Dedicated to his community, Raja has worked with a group of local citizens not only to save the Denis Theater in downtown Mt. Lebanon, but also to launch the Denis Theater Foundation to retain the historic landmark standing.

Raja lives in Mt. Lebanon with his wife (Dr.) Neeta and daughters, Isana and Omisa.
